Job Description
Senior Manager coordinating patient and cell journeys for AstraZeneca’s oncology R&D operations. Managing vein-to-vein workflows and site collaboration across Germany.
Responsibilities:
- Manage each patient and cell journey throughout treatment
- Manage patient cases within an assigned geographic area
- Coordinate between medical professionals at sites and AstraZeneca cross-functional teams throughout the vein-to-vein journey
- Serve as the trusted single contact for site stakeholders to enhance the cell therapy site experience
- Independently manage patient vein-to-vein workflows from registration through infusion
- Escalate patient issues and provide coverage for other regions
- Partner with Clinical Operations, SMM, Supply Chain, Medical, IT, Commercial, and other cross-functional teams
- Communicate critical patient-related information to site stakeholders
- Coordinate site logistics, personnel identification and training, and digital platform access
- Address issues related to cellular starting material, IMP, and supplies
- Collaborate with QA, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain on OOS communication, product recalls, and product issues
- Develop internal and external SOPs and materials related to the AZ Cell Therapy Hub
- Manage continuous improvements and develop solutions to enhance the patient care experience
- Coordinate rollout of process changes to assigned sites
- Maintain knowledge of Cell Therapy Hub goals, processes, regulatory standards, compliance, and procedures
- Demonstrate passion and care for patients and uphold Cell Therapy Hub values
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- BA or BS degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience within a Cell Therapy Program as a Research Coordinator, Nurse Coordinator, Apheresis Nurse, Cell Lab Professional, or Quality Manager in healthcare systems or a regulatory environment
- Ability to solve site-facing problems and deal with organizational complexity
- Advanced degree in Life Sciences or Engineering (e.g., PharmD, NP, PA, Biomedical Engineer) is desirable
- Experience working with critical raw material suppliers or contract manufacturing organizations is desirable
- Complete all Cell Therapy AZ Hub training and demonstrate knowledge and seamless navigation of AstraZeneca Cell Therapy Hub and processes
- Comply with applicable SOPs and regulations
