Job Description
GovCon technology senior manager leading Deltek Costpoint implementations and government-contracting consulting projects. Managing clients, teams, methodologies, and business-development initiatives for Baker Tilly.
Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for all project phases and work directly with clients to accomplish project objectives
- Demonstrate significant expertise with SDLC for a project/program management office supporting technical project managers
- Apply technical and functional skills to evaluate and implement packaged software solutions
- Develop and execute methodologies and solutions specific to the government contracting industry
- Assist in identifying new business opportunities through methodologies and tools development, proposal opportunities, market research, and internal initiatives
- Deliver exceptional client service in all client interactions and projects
- Communicate effectively internally and with clients, including executive-level stakeholders
- Manage day-to-day project activities, establish appropriate project-team leverage, and assign/manage responsibilities
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance counseling to consultants, clients, and project team members
- Contribute to general management of the Consulting Practice
- Develop and implement a personal plan for professional and practice development
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Management, or related field
- Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience in delivering financial and management consulting services
- Experience in Consulting with Commercial Clients or a combination of Commercial and Federal Clients
- Experience working on Deltek/Costpoint Implementation engagements supporting commercial clients or a combination of Commercial/Federal clients
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills
- Highly developed Microsoft Suite skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to lead and supervise others
- Ability to provide exceptional client service
- Commitment to continuous learning
- Appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment
- Sense of urgency and commitment to quality and timely completion of projects
- Must be able to travel up to 50% for client engagements
- CPA, PMP or other relevant certification is desired
