Job Description
Senior Platform Engineer improving AWS infrastructure for a high-transaction customer platform serving millions across Europe. Automating deployments, security, reliability, and cloud operations with Terraform and Python or Node.js.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver infrastructure and platform improvements across AWS environments
- Implement infrastructure changes using Terraform, following established module patterns and engineering standards
- Design and maintain secure cloud solutions in line with AWS best practices
- Develop automation and tooling using Node.js or Python
- Work closely with senior engineers, tech leads, and engineering managers to deliver project milestones
- Support CI/CD processes, testing, validation, and deployment activities
- Identify delivery risks, troubleshoot issues, and proactively communicate blockers
- Contribute to platform reliability, security, and operational excellence initiatives
- Ensure infrastructure follows least-privilege and secure-by-default principles
- Help improve engineering efficiency through automation and modern tooling
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFront, and related cloud technologies
- Proven experience building and managing infrastructure using Terraform
- Strong understanding of AWS security, operational excellence, and cloud best practices
- Solid experience with automation and scripting using either Node.js or Python
- Experience working within CI/CD environments and infrastructure-as-code workflows
- Ability to work independently and deliver complex technical projects with minimal supervision
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in agile engineering teams
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders
- Comfortable using AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity and delivery quality
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with AWS IAM and identity management
- Multi-account AWS environment experience
- Experience with CloudFront, WAF, and CDN technologies
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions or other Git-based CI/CD platforms
- Experience within large-scale cloud environments
- Knowledge of service-to-service authentication patterns such as OIDC
- Previous experience supporting platform engineering or internal developer platforms
