Job Description
Senior Product Designer creating user-centered interfaces and journeys for American Express Global Commercial Services. Delivering prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and UX systems for business payment products.
Responsibilities:
- Create user-centered experiences and interfaces for products and solutions, improving end-to-end user journeys
- Develop overall design and specifications for creating and enhancing user interfaces for company products
- Create storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, information architecture diagrams, and user journey maps for demonstrations and user testing
- Produce high-fidelity designs for implementation by development teams
- Analyze user research, business insights, and other data to continuously improve customer experiences
- Review proposed product changes or enhancements for compliance and alignment with desired user experience standards and suggest improvements
- Create and maintain UI/UX resources such as content templates, samples, and guidelines
- Identify appropriate artifacts based on project needs and timelines and deliver wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity specifications
- Develop user understanding and empathy through user-centered methodologies, external analysis, research, and data
- Present design decisions to peers, partners, and design leadership
- Improve design processes and workflows; contribute to design systems and UX patterns
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, design leads, and cross-functional partners to define requirements and deliver projects
- Exchange ideas and skills with other designers and provide mentorship
- Mentor junior designers and peers
- Leverage design tools to deliver artifacts efficiently and drive cross-functional collaboration
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in or with a product design organization
- Expert knowledge of Figma
- Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies, research and processes
- Ability to share solutions and strategy to problem-solving initiatives in an engaging way
