Job Description
Senior Program Design Specialist designing and implementing education programs for Compassion's Latin America and Caribbean region. Collaborating with various teams to ensure effective child and youth development initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as a key member of Compassion’s Program Design and Quality (PDQ) team
- Lead the design and support the implementation of evidence-based education interventions
- Provide technical guidance to National Offices across the Latin America and Caribbean region
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure integrated, holistic programming
- Build the capacity of National Office staff and partners to strengthen program quality
- Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children
- Commit to and prioritize child protection considerations in all decision-making
- Provide expert consulting on education programming
- Review Complementary Interventions (CIV) proposals related to education
- Promote evidence-based programming and facilitate learning among National Offices
Requirements:
- Professionals in the field of Education
- Postgraduate diploma appreciated
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in education, child development, program design and cross functional collaboration, preferably with an international NGO in Latin America and Caribbean region
- At least 5 years of documented experience in education programming, creation and adaptation of education strategies, guidelines, and tools
- Proven experience in facilitation, capacity building and mentorship, demonstrated ability to guide formal and non-formal education interventions
- Strong familiarity with continuous program design and quality improvement processes
- Professional use of Microsoft office, Teams, Smartsheet, Miro, and Slido
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English and Spanish
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills across diverse cultural contexts
- Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills
- Outcome-driven and self-management for remote work from home
- Availability for flexible working hours to meet global neighbor’s needs, there are some late and early meetings.
