Job Description
AV Solutions Designer at Electrosonic designing custom audiovisual systems and collaborating with sales and engineers. Involves producing technical documentation and attending client meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform audio, video, and control design functions to support the sales, design, implementation, and support of custom audiovisual systems
- Assist Sales and Technology Consulting with producing ROM pricing and facility impacts to facilitate client budgeting
- Produce project documentation to include functional narratives, single line diagrams, plan drawings, details, elevations, bill of materials, technical narratives, pull schedules, and any other information needed to clearly communicate deployment expectations
- Participate in internal and external design meetings to translate client’s functional requirements into viable technical systems
- Travel to meet with colleagues and clients on a semi-regular basis
- Keep up on the latest technologies through manufacturer and industry trainings
- Collaborate with Electrosonic Consultants during the design process to ensure that clients' needs are being met
- Collaborate with Electrosonic Engineers during the deployment process to ensure that design intent is understood
Requirements:
- A technical degree (or equivalent work experience) in a related field
- 2+ years as an audiovisual designer or 6+ years in other audiovisual roles
- Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to present ideas to creative clients and high-level executives
- A working knowledge of audiovisual technology, show control systems, and media networks
- Good organization skills, flexibility, and the capacity to manage multiple deadlines
- AVIXA CTS and CTS-D Certification (Preferred)
- Working knowledge of software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, EASE (Preferred)
- Familiarity with technology platforms such as Pixera, Q-SYS, and ISAAC (Preferred)
