Job Description
Senior QA Engineer in a leading nearshore staff augmentation company. Focused on refining development and testing practices to enhance customer experiences and drive business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Hands-on Testing & Execution: Perform comprehensive testing of responsive web/mobile applications and infrastructure to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Strategic Shift-Left Partnering: Collaborate with product teams to develop robust testing strategies early in the lifecycle, ensuring quality is integrated from the start.
- Lifecycle & Release Leadership: Lead requirements gathering, regression testing, and scope planning to provide final sign-off for release cycles.
- Quality Advocacy & Clean Code: Drive continuous process refinements and advocate for clean code standards to improve overall engineering health.
- Data-Driven Communication: Effectively estimate testing efforts and provide clear, vocal progress updates to support informed business decisions.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as an autonomous, self-sufficient engineer who remains tactical under pressure.
- Vocal champion for quality with the confidence to balance risk-tolerance with business goals.
- Strong mentorship skills to support colleagues and foster a healthy development culture.
- Expert-level test design focused on creating stable, deterministic tests that eliminate flakiness.
- Automation framework mastery, including setting up, maintaining, and customizing libraries.
- Seamless CI/CD integration within pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Hands-on framework expertise with tools like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Robot Framework.
- API and Load testing proficiency using Postman, JMeter, or BlazeMeter.
- Full-stack troubleshooting across HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and PHP or Java.
- Accessibility and Security knowledge, specifically WCAG 2.1 AA+ standards and modern guidelines.
- AI-driven testing experience, utilizing AI tools for test case generation and script development.
