Job Description
Senior QA Automation Engineer developing automated testing solutions for clients in transformation projects. Collaborating with teams to enhance test automation practices and tools.
Responsibilities:
- You design and implement automated testing solutions for our clients, for example in transformation projects and migrations
- You confidently apply a variety of test automation tools and frameworks based on project needs
- You create (automated) test cases, produce documentation and test reports, and take a hands-on role during testing
- You define work packages and take responsibility for coordinating (sub-)projects, including managing implementation through to business acceptance (sign-off)
- You act as an innovator in the field of test automation, actively contributing to process improvements and promoting new approaches and ideas
- You drive test automation and test management at Wavestone and continuously develop colleagues and clients through training
- You apply AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day work to increase productivity, improve code quality, and maintain high-quality documentation, contributing to robust and maintainable solutions
- You collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to develop solutions to specific problems, occasionally leveraging existing systems and solutions
- You build professional relationships with clients, management, and team members to ensure successful delivery of proposed solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business informatics, computer science or a related field
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in test automation, with strong experience delivering at project or program level
- Proficiency with common test automation tools and frameworks
- Strong expertise in test management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., TPI Next, TMMi) and their practical application
- Experience with modern test automation tools such as Tosca, and integrating testing into CI/CD and DevOps environments
- Solid understanding of quality assurance practices and automation strategies within financial services
- Experience working in interdisciplinary teams and contributing to both conceptual and coordination tasks
- ISTQB or similar certifications are a plus
- Strong customer orientation for both internal and external stakeholders, with a proactive, solution-focused attitude
- Strong interest in AI-driven tools and the ability to leverage them in daily work
- Fluent business-level German and good command of English
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites
