Job Description
Senior QA Engineer leading manual and automated testing for software applications in Colombia. Owning test plans, release sign-offs, defect analysis, and quality metrics.
Responsibilities:
- Practice all QA processes
- Draft, maintain, and own test plans, scenarios, and test cases
- Provide sign-off for every release and ensure no defect leakage
- Automate smoke and regression test cases
- Perform code reviews
- Validate production defects using AI tools, with Playwright preferred
- Monitor QA and defect metrics and perform regular defect analysis
- Validate production defects for root cause analysis
- Ensure features are complete and tested according to the definition of done
- Take responsibility for overall application quality
- Estimate tasks, evaluate impediments, and guide the team to ensure successful sprints
- Respond to support requests from clients, Product, and Customer Success Teams
- Collaborate with Product Management and Software Engineering teams to develop and validate manual and automated test scripts
- Participate in implementation approach discussions and proactively identify impediments
- Provide risk analysis to the Scrum technology team for new or updated features
- Participate in release management and communicate overall readiness for product deployment
- Gather and collate quality metrics and report to QA Leadership
- Perform test plan and test execution reviews for every sprint and provide release sign-off
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in 3-tier applications
- Experience with bug tracking tools
- Expertise in QA automation using Selenium, TestNG, and Rest Assured
- Experience automating smoke and regression test cases
- Experience performing code reviews
- Experience validating production defects and conducting root cause analysis
- Proficiency with AI tools such as Claude
- Basic/Advanced understanding of Prompt Engineering and Agent Creation
- Domain knowledge and awareness of business requirements
- Understanding of the project's contribution to overall success
- Knowledge of the definition of done
- Ability to estimate tasks, evaluate impediments, and guide the team through successful sprints
- Ability to collaborate with Product Management and Software Engineering teams
- Ability to perform risk analysis for new or updated features
- Ability to gather, collate, and report quality metrics
- Experience reviewing test plans and test execution for every sprint
