Job Description
Senior QA Engineer ensuring quality and performance for a leading online live auction marketplace. Collaborating with developers and utilizing automated testing tools for efficient workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and scripts that ensure features meet both functional requirements and performance standards
- Conduct rigorous manual and automated testing across our platform, including REST APIs and modern web interfaces
- Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to clarify requirements, identify edge cases, and ensure quality is "shifted left" in the process
- Identify, track, and collaborate with developers to resolve complex software defects and improve overall system quality
- Develop and maintain scalable test environments, including test databases and data management strategies
- Embrace new tooling and conventions—including AI-assisted testing workflows—to improve developer experience and long-term maintainability
Requirements:
- 5–7+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance
- Deep technical proficiency in testing RESTful APIs (using tools like Postman) and modern UI frameworks like React
- Experience testing web and mobile applications across multiple browsers and devices
- Strong experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress) and the ability to build/maintain testing frameworks
- Strong knowledge of a modern programming language to contribute to automation suites and perform code-level analysis
- Comfort using AI-assisted development and testing tools to increase efficiency while maintaining high quality standards
- Dedication to writing clean, maintainable test code that integrates seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner
