Job Description

Senior Quality Engineer focusing on AI-first testing for software solutions at Peek. Collaborating with product teams to refine processes and improve software quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and break down ambiguous product problems into concrete, well-scoped test cases and test plans, owning work from design through production release.
  • Contribute to our AI-first engineering culture, share patterns, document what works, and help the team level up on how we build with AI.
  • Use AI tools fluently - Claude Code, Augment, or equivalent- to compress implementation time, then critically review everything that comes out of them.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Design to identify gaps in specs, surface edge cases early, and push back when something isn't ready to ship.
  • Set the quality bar: well-structured, maintainable code; conduct thorough code reviews; maintain adequate test coverage; and catch bugs AI introduced before they reach production.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional testing with a meaningful track record of testing shipping production systems.
  • Strong quality fundamentals: Test case design, testing in multiple environments with different data, creating test data as needed, debugging production issues, and identifying priorities.
  • Demonstrate daily use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or equivalent) in a quality engineering workflow.
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated test cases and scripts: catch logic errors, identify security issues, assess maintainability, and test the applications effectively.
  • Strong system analytical instincts: you think about tradeoffs, edge cases, and what happens and should happen when things scale or fail.
  • Clear communicator: you can articulate potential issues with a new feature interaction with existing functionality, flag when a spec has holes, clearly outline defects, and disagree constructively.
  • Experience in a fast-paced agile development environment.

Benefits:
