Job Description
Senior Revenue Accountant overseeing revenue recognition activities under US GAAP at Cohesity. Partnering across functions to scale controls and ensure compliance as the company grows.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare month‑end journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring completeness, accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
- Support quarterly revenue reporting and preparation of financial‑statement disclosures.
- Partner with Deal Management, Sales Ops, Pricing, and FP&A to ensure complete and accurate revenue system data and downstream reporting.
- Drive system/process improvements, including NetSuite ARM configuration and enhancements to increase automation, quality, and speed.
- Own and maintain key revenue controls (e.g., SSP, concessions, reserves, deferrals, concurrent transactions) and contribute to control design/testing in partnership with SOX/Internal Audit.
- Respond to internal/external audit requests and ensure documentation quality across close artifacts.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or SaaS/software revenue accounting under US GAAP (ASC 606).
- Strong analytical problem‑solving, attention to detail, and ability to operate in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with NetSuite (ERP/ARM) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required.
- Big 4 or audit experience is a plus.
- CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus.
