Job Description
Senior Staff Accountant owning accounting operations and month-end close processes for a modern SaaS company. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support financial data accuracy and continuous improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead key components of the month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Own complex account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of discrepancies
- Support revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting in alignment with ASC 606
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Partner with FP&A and cross-functional teams to ensure financial data is accurate and actionable
- Identify and implement improvements to close timelines, workflows, and reporting accuracy
Requirements:
- 5–8+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a SaaS or high-growth environment
- strong foundation in GAAP, with experience applying ASC 606 principles
- highly proficient in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- detail-oriented but can zoom out to identify patterns and improvements
- must be legally authorized to work in the US
