Job Description

Senior SAP FICO Consultant leading the design and optimization of SAP Finance solutions at Sophos. Collaborating with Finance and IT stakeholders to drive intelligent finance transformation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the analysis and design of end-to-end SAP FI/CO solutions aligned to business objectives.
  • Translate complex finance requirements into high-quality functional specifications.
  • Configure and optimise SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax) and CO (Cost Centres, Profit Centres, Internal Orders).
  • Ensure strong integration across SAP modules and third-party systems.
  • Contribute to project planning, estimation, and successful delivery of SAP initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance finance processes through automation, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Leverage Finance innovations to modernise and simplify processes.
  • Facilitate design workshops and act as a trusted advisor to Finance stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and third-party AMS partners.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability development within the SAP team.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years’ hands-on SAP FI/CO experience within complex, integrated SAP environments.
  • Proven track record delivering full lifecycle SAP projects (rollouts, upgrades, migrations, or transformations).
  • Strong configuration expertise across SAP FI and CO modules.
  • Experience working across integrated SAP landscapes and external system interfaces.
  • Ability to drive process optimisation, automation, and intelligent improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: Exposure to AI-driven finance capabilities.
  • Preferred: Integration experience with SAP SD, MM, or procurement processes.
  • Preferred: SAP certification(s) and/or professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
