Job Description
Senior SDET building, testing, and releasing ARM-based software for Akamai's distributed cloud and edge platform. Automating CI/CD, debugging system failures, and improving build reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Build, validate, and release software for ARM-based platforms
- Troubleshoot architecture-specific issues across applications, libraries, operating systems, and system resources
- Develop automation and scripts with Python and Shell
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines to optimize build reliability, validation, and release efficiency
- Investigate complex build and runtime failures using system-level tools, logs, core dumps, and debugging techniques
- Collaborate with compilers, linkers, dependencies, cross-compilation, and build systems including CMake, Make, GCC, and Clang
- Collaborate with international, geographically distributed, cross-functional engineering teams, stakeholders, and developers
- Work in an agile environment
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in SDET, software engineering, build/release engineering, or a related computer science field
- Hands-on expertise with Linux/Unix systems
- Expertise with ARM64/AArch64 architecture
- Experience with system testing using physical HIL setups or target emulators
- Strong programming and scripting skills in Python and Shell
- Experience developing automation for build, validation, and release processes
- Expertise with CI/CD and source-control tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Git
- Debugging and root-cause analysis skills using GDB, strace, perf, valgrind, core dumps, and Linux utilities
- Experience validating DevSecOps security controls including SonarQube, Blackduck, SBOM, and Cosign
- Experience with automated testing of REST APIs, microservices, and SQL databases
