Job Description
Senior Software Engineer contributing to the development of review solutions for Airbnb's reputation platform. Collaborating across teams to improve user experience through efficient backend systems.
Responsibilities:
- Work with cross functional partners (product managers, legal etc) to design and deliver high-quality products.
- Create paved paths and best practices within the reviews, standards, and insights space.
- Define technical strategy and lead the architecture, build, and launch of solutions for serving reviews flows and providing data to our users.
- Work in areas outside of your usual comfort zone and show motivation for personal growth.
- Influence and align stakeholders across teams and organizations on technical direction, goals, and roadmaps.
- Build efficient and backend solutions that are reliable, performant and scalable.
- Collaborate with team members and cross functional partners to define product definitions and roadmaps
Requirements:
- 7+ years of full-time work experience in software engineering, information technology, or related domains.
- Proven track record of defining technical direction and owning architecture for large-scale, complex production systems.
- Ability to drive technical strategy and make architectural decisions that span multiple teams and systems.
- Experience mentoring and growing engineers, and influencing technical decisions across teams and organizations.
- Experience with service oriented architecture.
- Experience with Agentic Coding tools
- Proficiency in one or more backend server languages (Ruby/Java/Kotlin), and in popular storage systems such as relational databases, NoSQL and caching.
- Breadth of knowledge in reviews and metrics domain is a plus
