Job Description

Senior SDET improving quality for Replicant’s voice AI customer-service platform. Building AI-driven testing, automation frameworks, analytics, and CI/CD quality gates for scalable releases.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a senior technical authority for quality engineering at Replicant
  • Shape how quality is built into the platform through hands-on engineering
  • Raise the technical bar across AI-enabled QA Engineers through code and test review, pairing, and mentorship
  • Drive an AI-native quality engineering strategy to scale coverage, accelerate validation, and surface failures earlier
  • Build AI-driven testing workflows for broad, scalable platform validation
  • Own the quality feedback loop from internal dogfooding, customer A/B testing, feedback triage, and bug reporting
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to improve testability, shape acceptance criteria, and build quality in from the start
  • Build and improve automation frameworks, validation tooling, and CI/CD quality gates
  • Use AI and analytics to expand edge-case coverage, summarize failures, and inform roadmap and release decisions

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in SDET or quality engineering roles
  • Significant hands-on coding experience, including ownership of test strategy and release quality in complex software systems
  • Strong programming skills in at least one of TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python
  • Ability to build and own production-quality tooling and frameworks
  • Ability to leverage AI to increase coverage, reduce manual effort, and build smarter testing workflows
  • Curiosity about AI systems, conversational experiences, and testing voice-driven product behavior
  • Experience building quality initiatives across teams and influencing engineers, product managers, and stakeholders
  • Deep knowledge of automation, API testing, integration testing, regression strategy, and CI/CD-based quality workflows
  • Demonstrated mastery of test design and risk-based coverage
  • Ability to determine what should be automated versus explored manually
  • Comfort using data, metrics, and analytics to evaluate quality and communicate trends, risk, and improvement opportunities
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across Engineering, Product, and customer-facing teams
  • Experience testing AI and LLM-powered systems, including non-deterministic behavior, hallucinations, prompt or workflow regressions, and generative-product quality issues (nice to have)
  • Experience in an FDE, delivery, or professional services environment (nice to have)

Benefits:

  • Company-wide offsites and smaller team gatherings
  • Conferences, books, and courses funded through a tech & learning stipend
  • Remote work arrangement
  • Flexible vacations
  • Paid sabbatical after 5 years
  • Comprehensive benefits
  • Physical and mental wellness stipend
  • Competitive salaries
  • Equity in the company
