Job Description
Senior Software Engineer developing and maintaining SaaS platform for home care industry. Collaborating with product leaders and mentoring junior engineers in a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product leaders to spike on possibilities and prototype aggressively
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in code design, systems thinking, and driving AI agents effectively
- Write backend business logic, extend our API, integrate with third-party services, build frontend UI
- Improve system performance and resilience, upgrade our tech stack, and go after ambitious projects
- Own what you ship in production and ensure reliability as a first-class feature
Requirements:
- 5+ years as a professional software engineer on teams building full stack cloud-native web apps
- Ideally with PHP, but any object-oriented language works too
- React apps in TypeScript
- Experience building well-structured, readily comprehensible, easily maintainable software that balances practicality with elegance
- MySQL, using both PHP-based ORMs and raw SQL
- Designing and building RESTful APIs, and integrating with third-party APIs
- Able to work remotely from the Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zones
- Qualified to work in the United States or Canada
