Job Description
Senior Software Engineer supporting applications for Savannah River Site from Aiken, SC. Responsible for testing upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and application development lifecycle management.
Responsibilities:
- Keeps assigned applications operational by testing product upgrades
- Provides customer support and problem-solving customer issues
- Plans for information systems and services
- Provides tactical design, engineering, technical specifications, project coordination, and configuration management for IT solutions
- Assist senior technical personnel in complex tasks
- Communicate and coordinate with others across IT
- Perform other tasks associated with application development lifecycle
- Master software engineering tools in the development process
- Guide personnel for efficient utilization of resources
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline or non-related Bachelor’s degree with 7 years proven performance in related assignment(s)
- Associate Degree in IT related discipline with 7 years proven performance in related assignment(s)
- Non-related Associate Degree with 9 years proven performance in related assignment(s)
- In lieu of degree, a high school diploma with typically at least 11 years of equivalent knowledge and experience is acceptable
- Knowledge of Software Engineering and ongoing technical development
- Demonstrated understanding of programming skills and software engineering tools
