Job Description
Senior Software QA Engineer leading testing efforts and ensuring software quality for Nightwing's engineering team. Collaborating with developers and product managers in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test suites for complex software systems
- Lead manual and automated testing efforts across functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing
- Build and scale automated testing frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar
- Identify, document, and track bugs with clarity and detail; work with engineering teams to drive issues to resolution
- Define and enforce QA best practices, standards, and processes across the team
- Collaborate with developers during code reviews to catch quality issues early in the development cycle
- Mentor junior QA engineers and serve as a technical resource for the broader team
- Partner with product and engineering to assess risk and prioritize testing efforts in fast-moving release cycles
- Analyze test results, generate reports, and communicate quality metrics to stakeholders
- Continuously evaluate and introduce new tools, methodologies, and technologies to improve QA effectiveness
Requirements:
- 9 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a bachelor’s degree or 7 years with a master’s degree
- Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks and at least one scripting or programming language (Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.)
- Deep experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating automated tests into tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI
- Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter, Locust)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a sharp eye for detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate quality risks to both technical and non-technical audiences
