Job Description
Senior Test Automation Engineer enhancing test automation frameworks for ConnectWise. Focused on migrating to new platforms with CI/CD integration and team collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Extend existing web UI and API automation frameworks with new test scenarios
- Collaborate with the team during migration to a new platform
- Design and develop Python-based automation frameworks
- Select appropriate technologies and approaches for automation solutions
- Integrate automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated tests
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to investigate issues and improve testing strategies
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and quality reporting activities
- Mentor Junior specialists and support knowledge sharing within the team
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in test automation
- Strong Python skills with the ability to write maintainable and scalable test code
- Strong experience with Playwright
- Strong experience in Web API testing using REST and HTTP protocols
- Solid understanding of test design techniques
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns and engineering principles
- Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
- Practical experience with functional, regression, smoke, sanity, UI, integration, E2E, API, localization, and cross-browser testing
- Good AWS knowledge and understanding of cloud-based architectures
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
- Strong Git workflows and collaboration practices
- Upper-Intermediate level of English
- Strong experience with Selenium and Pytest (will be a plus)
- Strong TypeScript and JavaScript knowledge (will be a plus)
- Hands-on experience with Cypress (will be a plus)
- Experience with Robot Framework (will be a plus)
