Job Description
Senior IBM z/OS Systems Programmer providing planning and implementation for mainframe projects at DDC IT Services. Utilizing IBM tools to manage software installations and system configurations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide planning for implementation and installation plans for IBM Mainframe projects
- Use software tools to create, populate, update and configure required datasets and parameter libraries
- Create and deliver detailed installation/upgrade documentation
- Diagnose and resolve IBM z/OS system abends and abnormal operating problems
- Manage the USS environment on an IBM z/OS mainframe platform
Requirements:
- IAT Level 1: Must possess one of the following required certifications: A+ CE, CCNA Security, Network +CE, SSCP
- 5+ years of experience in IBM z/OS systems programming
- Experience with IBM System Modification Program/extended (SMP/e)
- Knowledge of IBM system utilities (IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, IDCAMS)
- Ability to manage system and user catalogs on the IBM Mainframe platform
