Job Description

Service Design Specialist driving client-centric practices and optimizing processes at Mitacs. Collaborating across teams to implement analytical and service design strategies in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain the service design vision, strategy and principles
  • Design and manage end-to-end service journeys
  • Design and facilitate workshops with cross-functional teams
  • Analyze and challenge internal processes
  • Lead internal and external stakeholder engagement
  • Integrate user research and feedback loops
  • Monitor performance metrics
  • Share knowledge and deliver training on workflows and best practices
  • Develop and evolve artifacts such as service blueprints and user journeys

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a service designer (or similar role)
  • Demonstrated experience with facilitating workshops and gaining buy-in with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated strong project coordination skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills to digest data and insights
  • Experience in design thinking, user research, journey mapping, prototype building, data-driven design
  • Embraces continuous, rapid testing, improvements, and learning
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Service Design Certification is an asset
  • Lean Six Sigma is an asset
  • Proficiency in French is an asset
  • Knowledge of written and spoken English is required.
