Job Description
Service Design Specialist driving client-centric practices and optimizing processes at Mitacs. Collaborating across teams to implement analytical and service design strategies in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain the service design vision, strategy and principles
- Design and manage end-to-end service journeys
- Design and facilitate workshops with cross-functional teams
- Analyze and challenge internal processes
- Lead internal and external stakeholder engagement
- Integrate user research and feedback loops
- Monitor performance metrics
- Share knowledge and deliver training on workflows and best practices
- Develop and evolve artifacts such as service blueprints and user journeys
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a service designer (or similar role)
- Demonstrated experience with facilitating workshops and gaining buy-in with stakeholders
- Demonstrated strong project coordination skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills to digest data and insights
- Experience in design thinking, user research, journey mapping, prototype building, data-driven design
- Embraces continuous, rapid testing, improvements, and learning
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Service Design Certification is an asset
- Lean Six Sigma is an asset
- Proficiency in French is an asset
- Knowledge of written and spoken English is required.
