Job Description
Database Administrator responsible for maintaining data models and ensuring quality and consistency. Joining Spassu to grow with innovation in technology and project management.
Responsibilities:
- Keep data models and logical and physical data structures up to date, ensuring they remain consistent with business rules.
- Ensure metadata quality, considering its usefulness for the company's various business areas.
- Participate in the evaluation of automation solutions whenever they affect the production or use of information, monitor model implementation and verify the quality of database content to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Define conceptual, logical and physical modeling of the information required to meet business needs;
- Develop, propose, maintain and update data models, ensuring data normalization, eliminating or minimizing redundant data, and promoting consistency at the model level for database implementation.
- Define data access security procedures;
- Redefine data models based on physical implementation specificities to improve database performance.
- Identify data distribution requirements and collaborate with DBAs on physical implementation;
- Work on architecture modeling and deployment of BI & Big Data systems, and on metrics and dashboards to support executive decision-making;
- Design and develop the architecture for data services across the technology and platform ecosystem (relational, analytical, NoSQL) to support data consumption by BI applications;
- Promote and develop BI best practices, results-oriented and focused on delivering benefits, providing consulting, support and mentorship to business areas, offering recommendations and guidance for continuous improvement, and supporting the established organizational model;
- Participate in the development and updating of data management and governance methodologies;
- Support the specification of integration mechanisms such as services, ETL specifications, database links and other DBMS-based integration methods;
- Write SQL scripts for data validations, report specifications, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or completion of any undergraduate degree accompanied by a postgraduate certificate (specialization, master's or doctorate) in Information Technology of at least 360 hours.
- PREFERRED CERTIFICATION: Hold at least one certification in one of the following databases: Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2, SAP ASE, SAP IQ, MySQL
- 3 years of experience in data modeling and large-volume data integration in analytical and transactional environments.
- Knowledge of relational and dimensional modeling; advanced SQL, DDL, DML, DCL; Platforms: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, MongoDB;
- Modeling tools: PowerDesigner, ERwin, CA-Gen;
- Experience with DBMS integrations, database links and ETL (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter).
