Job Description
Software Engineer at Aurora monitoring, developing, and improving a consumer-facing platform for solar adoption. Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers to enhance user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with engineers, product managers, and designers to build and improve our consumer-facing platform
- Design, develop, and deploy high-quality front-end and back-end code that improves the solar buying experience
- Participate in the full development lifecycle, from concept and design through implementation, testing, and deployment
- Champion code quality through thoughtful reviews and strong testing practices to ensure reliability and scalability
- Help raise the bar through continuous improvement, including proposing solutions, participating in retrospectives, and strengthening team processes
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of shipping high-quality work
- Strong proficiency in Python, Ruby, or Javascript
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks, with React strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively partner with product managers, designers, and other engineers
- A passion for solving complex problems and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code
- A proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative, ask questions, and propose solutions
