Job Description
DevOps Software Engineer building GCP infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability for Atria’s preventive healthcare platform. Supporting reliable deployments and developer productivity across engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform.
- Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions.
- Automate manual and repetitive operational work with scripts and tooling.
- Instrument services and infrastructure with monitoring, dashboards, and alerting in Datadog.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to incidents.
- Define and track Service Level Objectives for core infrastructure and build systems.
- Support product engineering teams with deployment pipelines, environment issues, and build troubleshooting.
- Maintain preview and staging environments, including data sync, masking, and cleanup routines.
- Improve developer experience through tooling, runbooks, and documentation.
- Write well-tested, well-reviewed infrastructure code and participate in design reviews and RFCs.
- Give and receive code reviews and share knowledge through pairing and documentation.
- Partner with Platform, Data Engineering, and domain product teams to improve their path to production.
Requirements:
- ~3 - 4 years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, or backend engineering in production environments.
- Hands-on experience provisioning and operating infrastructure in at least one cloud provider (ideally Google Cloud Platform).
- Track record of shipping automation, pipelines, or infrastructure that made a team more productive or reliable.
- An enthusiasm for developer productivity and making our teams as impactful as possible.
- Comfortable with infrastructure-as-code (ideally Terraform) and building CI/CD pipelines (ideally GitHub Actions).
- Proficient software engineering skills, and comfortable working in Linux.
- Working knowledge of monitoring and observability tooling, and solid debugging instincts across logs, traces, and metrics.
- Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and containerized workloads.
- Solid grounding in reliability, performance, and security fundamentals.
