Job Description
Software Engineer II responsible for software programming applications and design at Cummins. Key participant in testing and modifying applications while ensuring compliance with technical design standards.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design.
- Design, modify, develop, write and implement software programming applications.
- Support and/or install software applications.
- Key participant in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
Requirements:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required.
- Experience working as a software engineer with the following knowledge and experiences are preferred: Working in Agile environments; Fundamental IT technical skill sets; Taking a system from coping requirements through actual launch of the system; Communicating with users, other technical teams and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meet production deadlines; Professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
