Job Description
Software Engineer III at EasyPost responsible for scalable data-driven products. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain innovative shipping infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data-driven products
- Developing necessary data pipelines and tooling to support products or initiatives
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, data scientists, and analysts
- Designing, coding, testing, and debugging data-driven applications
- Developing supporting data tooling, including data pipelines, APIs and related tools
- Integrating with various data sources and technologies
- Collaborating with product managers and other stakeholders to translate business requirements
- Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality
- Utilizing version control systems to manage and track changes to source code
- Ensuring compatibility and interoperability between different systems and platforms
- Developing and maintaining documentation for data processes and workflows
- Staying updated on emerging data technologies and evaluate their relevance to the organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, data science, analytics, or other related field.
- 5+ years of related experience, a master’s degree and 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent related work experience.
- Proficient in SQL and Python.
- Experience in Ruby, Javascript/Typescript a plus.
- Experienced in utilizing Cloud technologies and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with Looker, DBT, and cloud warehouse technologies a plus.
- Experience with Parcel APIs, Parcel Financial Data and EDI feeds a plus
- Effective problem-solving skills and a desire to solve business challenges with data.
- Ability to communicate effectively to multiple key stakeholders.
