Job Description
Software Engineer building scalable JavaScript and Node.js applications for Trimble Transporeon's global freight network. Improving platform performance, security, testing, and reliability with AI-assisted development.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain software applications using modern technologies and intentional AI coding tools
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver features from concept to production
- Drive platform stability, data security, and high performance through unit and integration tests
- Resolve technical bottlenecks
- Own implementation quality, system performance, documentation, and continuous process improvements
- Provide in-house 3rd level support
- Debug technical issues
- Prepare accurate effort estimations
Requirements:
- Solid professional background in software development utilizing JavaScript and Node.js
- Strong hands-on experience with databases and modern container environments such as Postgres, Kafka, and Kubernetes
- Professional working proficiency in written and spoken English
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience or strong interest in leveraging AI tools for code generation and workflow optimization is a bonus
- Familiarity with microservice architecture definition, system optimization, and automated testing frameworks is a bonus
- Prior experience working within SaaS applications is a bonus
