Job Description
Software Engineer L4 responsible for designing and implementing features for Funnel's CRM software. Working with product managers and engineers in a remote environment focused on innovating the rental experience.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with product managers and designers to design, plan, and implement new features
- Translating requirements into a scalable implementation plan
- Defining non-functional requirements to ensure performance meets standards
- Working on a cross-functional product development team responsible for building and maintaining CRM and AI products
- Mentoring less experienced Software Engineers
- Conducting technical interviews to assess Software Engineering candidates
- Providing feedback to improve team processes
- Facilitating design reviews and project planning
- Creating a culture of continuous improvement and learning
- Fostering collaboration within the team and across the company
- Performing other related responsibilities as assigned by management
- Traveling up to 5% as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent related experience.
- 5+ years of experience developing software applications in an agile environment
- Ability to manage and influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building
- Analytical and process-oriented mindset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages
- Proficiency with one or more modern web application frameworks, like Django, Flask, Rails
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
- Experience working with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience building effective alerting and monitoring policies as part of feature development
