Job Description

Software Engineer developing C# libraries for KOPE’s offsite-construction design platform. Solving computational-geometry problems through algorithms, data structures, and performance-focused engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with developers and domain experts to create exceptional products
  • Work with geometry experts to understand needs and translate them into software solutions
  • Analyse geometrical problems and select suitable computer science concepts and algorithms
  • Write efficient, scalable code with attention to performance and resource usage
  • Make engineering decisions regarding data access, processing efficiency, and system design
  • Participate in agile development, including sprint planning, workshops, demos, code reviews, and quality assurance
  • Design, develop, and maintain C# libraries for computational design applications
  • Research technologies, brainstorm solutions, optimize code, and review code with colleagues

Requirements:

  • Strong C# knowledge with .NET framework/.NET Core
  • Proven ability to architect and develop reusable libraries for computational design applications
  • Ability to understand complex geometrical problems and translate them into computer science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
  • Collaboration with domain experts to design and implement effective software solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Git or similar version control systems
  • Adaptability and willingness to develop skills in a collaborative environment
  • Knowledge of computational geometry concepts and techniques is advantageous
  • Ability to write optimized code for performance-critical applications
  • Experience with unit testing and software testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices
