Job Description
Software developer building Power Platform automation, dashboards, and data tools for AECOM’s infrastructure consulting clients. Supporting EHS, government, and private-sector projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design, create, and maintain business automation and intelligence tools and their supporting data structures
- Understand client data needs and collaborate with subject-matter experts and coworkers to address them
- Plan implementation steps and estimate effort and schedules for client requirements
- Explain technical challenges and proposed solutions to non-technical decision makers
- Query databases and use APIs to obtain data
- Suggest innovative solutions for client requirements
- Lead the success of small solution-development projects or development tasks within larger projects
- Work with multiple clients and accurately allocate daily time to appropriate projects
- Initiate contact with mentors and coworkers to resolve problems and questions
- Engage proactively with coworkers and clients worldwide
- Attend occasional client meetings
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Information Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related degree + 4 years of experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Experience designing and building process automation solutions, including PowerApps or competitive platforms
- Experience designing and building dashboards
- Working understanding of relational databases
- US citizenship required
- Power Platform knowledge, including Canvas Power Apps, Model-Driven Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Portals, and Microsoft 365 services
- Understanding of ETL processes, database design, and object-oriented programming
- Client-facing communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- SharePoint development experience
- Web development experience
- JavaScript knowledge
- SQL database exposure
- Exposure to Azure services
- Basic coding experience with Python, C#, HTML5, JavaScript, Node.js, and React
- Experience with Esri ArcGIS solutions, spatial data, and GIS data integration with enterprise systems
