Job Description
Full-stack engineering intern building Super.com’s travel, fintech, and savings products. Shipping React/Python features across microservices, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Ship technically challenging projects end-to-end in a fast-paced, iterative environment
- Propel the business forward and recognize the impact of work on business metrics and user experience
- Own features, services, caches, and databases, including deployment, monitoring, debugging, and testing
- Write production-ready, well-tested code from the first week
- Perform experiments for nearly everything launched using a data-driven, customer-focused approach
- Work across frontend and backend components, multiple services, and codebases
- Collaborate with full-time developers on core projects
- Contribute to Super.com’s travel, fintech, superapp membership, savings, and earnings products
Requirements:
- At least 8 months of web development work experience
- Experience with a modern frontend JavaScript framework such as React, Vue, or Angular
- Experience working with web servers
- Experience taking ownership and shipping entire features end-to-end
- Interest in working on both frontend and backend components
- Interest in React on the frontend and Python on the backend
- Candidates must be based anywhere in Canada
- Minimum 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone
- Availability to work a 40-hour work week
- Must be currently attending a college, university, or school
- Internship must be part of an academic program or completed independently, as applicable
- Ability to work core hours of 9/10 am–5/6 pm EST, Monday to Friday, barring pre-approved time off
- Academic performance information and unofficial grade report required during application
- Ability to work with React/frontend JavaScript and Python/web-server backend coding
