Job Description
Software Engineer developing Java/Spring Boot and Angular applications for North South Consulting Group. Building secure, scalable cloud solutions and modernizing legacy systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement modern web applications
- Perform systems analysis, design, integration, and documentation for complex applications
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle as a core Agile team member
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java/Spring Boot and Angular
- Build responsive front-end interfaces with UI templates, HTML5, CSS, and Angular
- Develop and deploy applications in cloud environments using AWS services
- Write and consume RESTful APIs
- Help modernize legacy applications into cloud-native architectures
- Test software for responsiveness and efficiency
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade applications collaboratively
- Participate in Agile processes such as SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban
- Enhance existing software and deliver new features
Requirements:
- BA/BS in a related field
- 5–8 years of experience as a Software Engineer
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Proficiency in Angular, HTML5, and CSS
- Experience with Node.js for backend services or build tooling
- Hands-on experience with cloud services, preferably AWS
- Experience with Agile development processes such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban
- Experience with Object-Oriented Programming principles
- Must be a US Citizen
- Active CompTIA Security+ / IAT Level II certification
- SECRET security clearance or ability to obtain one
- SQL experience with a major database such as Oracle or PostgreSQL preferred
- API design and documentation experience, including JSON or OpenAPI preferred
- Familiarity with Git preferred
- Vulnerability analysis and remediation experience preferred
