Job Description
Infrastructure Engineering Intern improving Super.com’s cloud deployment, automation, monitoring, and cost efficiency. Supporting Super.com’s mission to help people save more, earn more, and get more out of life.
Responsibilities:
- Join Super.com’s infrastructure engineering team
- Work with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and Istio
- Help accelerate company development through faster, safer, and more frequent deployments
- Improve developer productivity and happiness through better development tools and workflows
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and infrastructure optimizations
- Implement automated monitoring and alerting to detect errors and performance issues early
- Work with AWS, containerized Python/JavaScript microservices, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, Datadog, Incident.IO, Postgres, Redis, GitLab, Bash, and Docker
- Collaborate with full-time developers on core projects that ship and are used
Requirements:
- 4–16 months of experience
- Experience and comfort with POSIX-based operating systems
- Prior Docker usage and understanding of its purpose and problems solved
- Knowledge of cloud networked services, including VPC, IP, TCP, DNS, and HTTP
- Interest in automating repetitive manual processes
- Ability to identify and eliminate waste in money, time, and CPU cycles
- Ability to learn quickly across languages and technologies
- Currently attending a college, university, or school
- Unofficial grade report required
- Availability for a 40-hour work week
- Minimum 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone
- Ability to work core hours of 9/10 am–5/6 pm EST, Monday to Friday, barring pre-approved time off
