Job Description

Software Engineering Intern building full-stack services for Super.com’s savings, fintech, and travel platform. Shipping production features with Python, React, AWS, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities:

  • Ship technically challenging projects end-to-end in a fast-paced, iterative environment
  • Propel the business forward and recognize the impact of work on business metrics and user experience
  • Own features, services, caches, and databases, including deployment, monitoring, debugging, and testing
  • Write production-ready, well-tested code from the first week
  • Perform data-driven experiments for launches
  • Work across frontend and backend components, multiple services, and codebases
  • Participate in a microservices architecture using Python/FastAPI, React/TypeScript, Postgres, Redis, GitLab, AWS/Kubernetes, Datadog, Amplitude, and Snowflake

Requirements:

  • At least 8 months of web development work experience
  • Experience with a modern frontend JavaScript framework such as React, Vue, or Angular
  • Experience working with web servers
  • Experience taking ownership and shipping entire features end-to-end
  • Interest in working on both frontend and backend components
  • Interest in React on the frontend and Python on the backend
  • Must be currently attending a college, university, or school
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week
  • Must maintain a minimum 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone
  • Must be available during core working hours of 9/10 am–5/6 pm EST, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility
  • Must reside in Canada for the internship duration
