Job Description
Staff Engineer architecting AI-native payment infrastructure for Yuno, an operating system connecting global merchants to payments and financial services. Leading complex architecture, delivery, technical strategy, and engineering mentorship across a global commerce platform.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and build robust, scalable, and maintainable systems for global payment processing
- Tackle the deepest technical complexity in the platform and solve complex technical problems
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching to engineers
- Drive delivery of complex, cross-team projects aligned with business goals and timelines
- Contribute to technical vision, roadmap, and engineering strategy
- Collaborate with product, design, and stakeholders, translating technical concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
- Optimize system performance and scalability through efficient algorithms and clean code
- Safeguard quality through rigorous testing and code reviews
- Shape AI-native systems and AI-driven engineering development practices
- Lead the architecture of at least one major system within the first 6–12 months
Requirements:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Deep expertise in Go and/or Kotlin and strength across the full stack
- Proven experience designing and building robust, scalable, and maintainable systems
- Solid grasp of architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver innovative solutions
- Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native services, including RDS, ECS, EKS, and S3
- Excellent automated testing practices across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Experience working within Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD workflows
- Proven technical leadership, including mentoring and coaching engineers and driving technical vision, strategy, and complex project delivery
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Advanced written and spoken English proficiency
