Job Description
Staff Engineer I responsible for designing software solutions at Cotiviti. Leading technical initiatives while collaborating with other engineers to enhance system performance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership in a team of Software Engineers
- Act as a key influencer in technical decision-making and driving architectural improvements
- Collaborate with Principal Software Engineers and Leadership
- Drive technical initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with company goals
- Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to best practices
- Identify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years’ experience in Senior Software Engineering
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer II or equivalent role
- Expertise in software development, including proficiency in Java, Python, MSSQL, Oracle PL/SQL
- 8-10 years’ experience working with relational databases, and ETL processes
- 6+ years’ experience with vector databases, SQL, No-SQL
- 4+ years experience with high volume message based interfaces
- Experience with AI Assistants such as Claude Code or Codex
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools
