Job Description

Staff Full Stack Engineer building integration-heavy systems for tem’s AI-native energy transaction platform. Automating renewable-generator tendering, pricing, contracting, and risk workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Own architecture-level decisions on integration-heavy systems connecting Origination & New Products to Rosso, Data, and Billing
  • Help ship the first new product category live and generating qualified pipeline within 6 months
  • Help automate tendering processes to increase quote capacity
  • Productise a manual, error-prone pricing process
  • Design deal-gating risk tooling for new commercial risk categories
  • Turn commercially driven, undefined problems into shippable plans
  • Deliver integrations across teams without direct authority over those teams
  • Design, build, and ship difficult parts of the new-product sequence
  • Build primarily backend systems while contributing to the React/TypeScript frontend when needed
  • Write clean, well-tested code
  • Contribute to code reviews and improve team practices and documentation

Requirements:

  • Deep technical depth in backend and systems design
  • Track record of owning architecture-level decisions on complex, integration-heavy systems
  • Experience with Python, AWS serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, EventBridge), and event-driven architectures
  • React/TypeScript exposure is a plus
  • Ability to turn an ambiguous problem into a shippable plan
  • Experience delivering work where a critical dependency sits with a team you have no authority over
  • Proven product delivery experience as a Full Stack or Backend Engineer in a startup or fast-paced product environment
  • Ownership of complex projects from start to finish
  • Experience mentoring engineers or setting technical direction is desirable
  • Experience in energy, fintech, or another regulated, high-stakes commercial domain is desirable
  • Exposure to workflow orchestration, event-driven systems, or real-time pricing engines is desirable
  • Experience originating new product lines from scratch is desirable
  • Fluency in spoken, written, and read English
