Job Description
Staff Pharmacist in a refill call center addressing medication inquiries and approvals. Working from home with responsibilities including reviewing patient records and authorizing prescription refills.
Responsibilities:
- Gather pertinent information from incoming calls concerning medications
- Address medication related questions, issues, prior authorizations, as well as refill approvals
- Perform a medication review and complete clinical review during calls
- Review patient medication profiles to guard against sensitivities and interactions
- Authorize prescription refills on pre-specified maintenance medications
- Conduct thorough reviews of each patient’s electronic medical record
- Document encounters within electronic medical record
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree-Pharmacy (Required)
- Licensed Pharmacist (Pennsylvania) within 90 days
- Certification(s) and License(s)
- Experience in addressing medication related questions and issues
