Job Description

Staff Pharmacist in a refill call center addressing medication inquiries and approvals. Working from home with responsibilities including reviewing patient records and authorizing prescription refills.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather pertinent information from incoming calls concerning medications
  • Address medication related questions, issues, prior authorizations, as well as refill approvals
  • Perform a medication review and complete clinical review during calls
  • Review patient medication profiles to guard against sensitivities and interactions
  • Authorize prescription refills on pre-specified maintenance medications
  • Conduct thorough reviews of each patient’s electronic medical record
  • Document encounters within electronic medical record

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree-Pharmacy (Required)
  • Licensed Pharmacist (Pennsylvania) within 90 days
  • Certification(s) and License(s)
  • Experience in addressing medication related questions and issues
