Job Description
Staff Software Engineer extending Circle’s blockchain infrastructure for tokenized assets. Building scalable APIs, microservices, and payment integrations across blockchain and banking systems.
Responsibilities:
- Extend Circle's in-house blockchain systems infrastructure to support tokenization
- Analyze requirements, procedures, and problems to improve and modify existing systems
- Build and own scalable microservices for reliable and secure APIs transferring value and assets across blockchain and traditional banking protocols
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to design, test, and shape Circle features
- Develop and document system design procedures, testing procedures, and quality standards
- Troubleshoot program and system malfunctions
- Build publicly accessible APIs for developer integration with complex payment systems
- Integrate Platform Services with leading banks and financial technologies
- Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles
- Write infrastructure using SQL or NoSQL data sources, messaging systems, and APIs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 7 years minimum professional software development experience in object oriented languages like Go or Java
- Computer Science degree or a closely related field (or foreign equivalent)
- Technical leadership of teams >4 on architecture and system design
- Expert in one of the domains of API design, payments processing, or blockchains
- Deep understanding/experience with architecture, design, and deployment of production-quality, scalable software
- Deep understanding/experience with Web3, blockchain, smart contract business logic
- Deep understanding/experience with RESTful API design and development principles
- Deep understanding/experience with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
- Deep understanding/experience with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes, EKS, or ECS
- Deep understanding/experience with SQL databases and designing schemas
- Strong focus on coding standards, code quality, and test coverage
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with remote teams
- Self-starter with a curious mindset and ability to work with little supervision
