Job Description
Software Engineer working remotely to build cloud-based compute platform for life insurance. Collaborating with developers and product managers to enhance Sureify's core products.
Responsibilities:
- Help build and evolve our next-generation cloud based compute platform for digitally-delivered life insurance
- Collaborate with other developers and a product manager to build software that is part of Sureify’s core product suite
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience developing production-quality code
- Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced engineers
- Experience designing relational database schemas
- A firm understanding of object oriented design or functional programming as well as common data structures and algorithms
- Strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a close-knit team
- Experience working with 3rd party software integrations (REST APIs, JSON, etc.)
- A solid understanding of the challenges of distributed systems
- Experience building secure applications and methodically improving application performance (Profilers, APM tools, Security scanning tools)
- Experience with CI/CD tooling
- Must be able to work mostly during Pacific Time Zone hours
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
