Job Description
BIM Technician creating substation construction drawings and designs for Ulteig, an engineering firm developing critical infrastructure solutions. Supporting engineers with AutoCAD and MicroStation drafting.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Substation group of engineers by providing technical drafting support
- Create construction drawings/designs under close supervision
- Complete designing/drafting tasks within the Substation department
- Work within a team to complete projects on schedule
Requirements:
- Two year technical degree or currently enrolled in school for Technical Drafting preferred
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is required
- Knowledge of Microstation is required
- Knowledge of Autodesk Revit software a plus
- Proven experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
- Knowledge in substation electrical protection and control and/or physical design would be beneficial
- Good organization and communication skills to assure projects are completed on schedule
- Openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools
- Must have permanent authorization to work permanently in US
