Job Description

Supplier Business Manager developing strategic supplier relationships and profitable growth for Braemac, an electronic component distributor. Leading marketing, product launches, negotiations, and sales support.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage Braemac’s overall relationship with suppliers
  • Work with suppliers’ sales and marketing resources, Product Business Units, and Executive management to develop and implement strategic business plans for profitable growth
  • Position and promote Braemac globally with suppliers, customers, and industry participants
  • Develop and implement marketing plans focused on product issues, opportunities, market forecasts, industry trends, and technological advancements
  • Facilitate regularly scheduled supplier reviews and follow through on business-plan commitments
  • Develop strategies to enhance the product portfolio and expand the supplier base
  • Implement new product launches and deliver training materials to field sales and product teams
  • Support development of collateral materials, sales tools, advertising, newsletters, and web-based offerings
  • Coordinate co-op promotion budgets and communicate with sales teams and suppliers
  • Participate in supplier contract negotiations
  • Serve as product expert liaison between corporate product management and sales
  • Consult with sales teams, support major opportunities, and participate in customer sales calls
  • Ensure key supplier contacts understand Braemac/XTG resources
  • Monitor and communicate supplier performance and quality excellence
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business, or a related field or equivalent related work experience preferred
  • Four plus years of progressive industry-related experience required
  • Experience with sales, marketing, management, distribution, and manufacturers/suppliers
  • General knowledge of the electronic component distribution industry
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • Negotiation and ability to influence, convince, and persuade suppliers and internal and external customers
  • Analytical skills to analyze strengths and weaknesses of product marketing efforts and related results
  • Strong oral and written communication/presentation skills
  • Teamwork/collaboration skills
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in Cellular/Wireless technology preferred but not required
