Job Description
Backend Developer at C&A developing and maintaining scalable applications and APIs. Collaborating with teams to ensure system performance and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain applications with a predominant focus on back-end, ensuring performance, scalability, and security;
- Design and implement APIs, services, and integrations between internal and external systems;
- Participate in software architecture definition, contributing technical decisions and best practices;
- Optimize database queries and ensure efficient handling of large volumes of data;
- Ensure code quality through automated tests, code reviews, and use of development standards;
- Monitor, diagnose, and fix production issues, ensuring application stability and high availability;
- Collaborate with front-end, product, QA, and infrastructure teams to deliver complete, integrated solutions;
- Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, daily standups, review, retrospective), contributing estimates and timelines;
- Document technical solutions, APIs, and processes to support system maintenance and evolution;
- Support and mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices;
Requirements:
- Completed Bachelor's degree in Technology: Computer Science, Systems Development, or related fields;
- Experience in backend-focused systems development;
- Experience with C# (.NET);
- Experience with Go (or another modern back-end language);
- Development of RESTful APIs / GraphQL;
- Experience with microservices or well-structured monoliths;
- Knowledge of asynchronous processing / concurrency;
- Experience with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar);
- Front-end experience (basic/intermediate);
- Knowledge of React and API integration;
- Understanding of state management;
- Experience with databases;
- Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.);
- Knowledge of data modeling;
- Experience or familiarity with NoSQL (differential);
- Knowledge of architecture and performance;
- Experience with scalable systems;
- Basics of distributed systems;
- Use of caching (Redis or similar);
- Knowledge of observability (logs, metrics);
- Concern for performance and resilience;
- Good communication with technical and business areas.
