Job Description
Tableau Developer responsible for full lifecycle of data visualization and reporting at Pythian. Design, develop and maintain Tableau ETL processes and dashboards for stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Tableau Prep/Flow ETL to ensure the data is available to Tableau reports
- Design, develop and maintain Tableau Dashboards as per requirements from our internal stakeholders
- Work with our Data Visualization SME to maintain data visualization standards across all our official reports
- Contribute to our Data Dictionary and documentation
- Troubleshoot Tableau Workbooks and Tableau Flow ETLs data and performance issues
- Collect reporting business requirements from our business stakeholders
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with the following technologies: Tableau Cloud, Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep Builder, MySQL
- Undergraduate degree in mathematics, information technology related field or equivalent working experience
- Strong experience in designing, developing, and optimizing data transformation (ETL) pipelines for reporting purposes
- Experience building complex interactive dashboards
- Experience building high performing and scalable dashboards
- Ability to understand, develop and maintain complex SQL queries
- Excellent attention to detail related to accuracy, presentation and flow of reports and dashboards
- Demonstrated ability to execute and meet deadlines
- Communicates effectively, both orally and written
- Good to Have: Tableau Analyst certification
- Ability to pivot quickly when project requirements shift and effectively manage workload when priorities change
