Job Description
Part-time Tax Accountant building LedgerGurus’ outsourced eCommerce accounting tax service. Developing income-tax processes and serving clients with flexible remote scheduling.
Responsibilities:
- Build out LedgerGurus’ pre-existing income tax service
- Complete income tax services for existing clients from January to May
- Maintain ongoing work for the team during the rest of the year
- Build out processes for the tax service
- Become an integral part of LedgerGurus’ services
- Use leadership and strategic thinking to develop the tax service into an income tax powerhouse
- Communicate with clients and coworkers
- Attend meetings and handle client communication during normal business hours
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Active Enrolled Agent credential
- 6+ years of tax accounting experience
- Ability and confidence to communicate accurate accounting details to clients and coworkers
- Ability to work 40 hours a week from January 1-May 31 every year
- Active CPA license preferred
- Previous leadership or team lead experience is a plus
- Availability for 3-4 hours during normal business hours for meetings and client communication
