Job Description
Test Automation Engineer modernizing IRS legacy tax processing systems for federal technology provider T-Rex Solutions. Building Playwright automation frameworks and leading functional, regression, API, and manual testing.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) EDOS program
- Help modernize IRS legacy tax processing systems
- Drive software development lifecycle quality and efficiency
- Design, develop, and own the comprehensive test automation strategy
- Architect, implement, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright
- Execute automated test suites
- Perform manual and automated testing
- Leverage functional testing for complete test coverage
- Plan and execute automation scripts for continuous regression testing
- Mentor junior team members
- Participate in code reviews
- Monitor, report, and analyze defects
- Drive continuous improvement in the end-to-end testing process
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in progress and 2+ years of overall experience
- US Citizenship required
- Must possess an active IRS MBI Clearance and have current GFE
- Demonstrable experience with test management, quality engineering strategy and planning and test execution and management
- Experience with Functional, Manual, Regression, Automation, 508 and API testing
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence, SQL, Git
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels
- Prior experience working on Agile teams
