Job Description

Test Automation Engineer modernizing IRS legacy tax processing systems for federal technology provider T-Rex Solutions. Building Playwright automation frameworks and leading functional, regression, API, and manual testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) EDOS program
  • Help modernize IRS legacy tax processing systems
  • Drive software development lifecycle quality and efficiency
  • Design, develop, and own the comprehensive test automation strategy
  • Architect, implement, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright
  • Execute automated test suites
  • Perform manual and automated testing
  • Leverage functional testing for complete test coverage
  • Plan and execute automation scripts for continuous regression testing
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Monitor, report, and analyze defects
  • Drive continuous improvement in the end-to-end testing process

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in progress and 2+ years of overall experience
  • US Citizenship required
  • Must possess an active IRS MBI Clearance and have current GFE
  • Demonstrable experience with test management, quality engineering strategy and planning and test execution and management
  • Experience with Functional, Manual, Regression, Automation, 508 and API testing
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence, SQL, Git
  • Agile/Scrum experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels
  • Prior experience working on Agile teams
