Job Description
Test Engineer II validating CSG’s Snowflake-based enterprise data warehouse. Automating functional, regression, integration, performance, and data-quality testing for large-scale client data solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans for database-driven applications and services
- Perform feature testing and automated regression testing
- Validate data accuracy, schema integrity, and query performance across multiple environments
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts
- Perform load, stress, and performance testing for scalability
- Partner with developers to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve defects
- Document test results and create detailed defect reports
- Track issues through resolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on end-to-end test strategies
- Analyse requirements and contribute to test design, development, and maintenance of manual and automated test suites
- Perform functional, application, regression, integration, automated, and manual testing
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in software testing, preferably with database products or data-intensive applications
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, and stored procedures
- Strong experience with relational databases such as Snowflake, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
- ETL/ELT experience is a plus
- Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks and performance testing tools
- Prior experience with BDD frameworks like SpecFlow, Cucumber, or similar is highly desirable
- Prior experience using AI-assisted tools for test automation is a plus
- Ability to integrate AI-assisted tools into daily testing activities
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies, tools, and systems
- Self-motivated team player with ownership and commitment to quality
