Job Description
Therapy Specialist supporting TAVI implantations and patient screening for Abbott’s structural-heart medical-device business. Developing regional therapy markets across Northern Germany with extensive customer travel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide product- and user-focused leadership, assistance and technical support for TAVI implantations
- Provide clinical advice and support for conducting patient screening for TAVI
- Establish and manage the referral network in the region
- Support clinical study activities and contribute to scientific projects
- Represent the company at local and regional symposia and professional events
- Responsible for regional therapy and market development
- Implement regional marketing strategies in close cooperation with the local sales team
- Work closely and cooperatively with medical experts to improve patient health and quality of life
- Provide customer and partner support, requiring frequent travel within the region
Requirements:
- Degree in biomedical engineering or completed medical vocational training
- Sales experience and business acumen desired
- Work experience in a cardiac catheterization lab
- Ideally, hands-on experience with aortic valves and TAVI procedures
- Proficient in 2D echocardiography
- Proficient with X-ray imaging
- Understanding of complex anatomical relationships
- Excellent communication and presentation skills when interacting with various clinical decision-makers
- High initiative and flexibility
- Willingness to undertake extensive travel
- Fluent German
- Good command of English
- Proficient in MS Office
- Valid driver's license for Germany
